Title: Modular wireless signalling system for Railway transport systems

Abstract: Railway operations are becoming increasingly automated and integrated through the use of Information and Communication Technology. Advance signalling systems handle efficiently the traffic among a railway network providing the ability to increase the population of rolling stock on the same track with a precise time slot for each of them, besides of diminishing risks by human error.
Motivated by this, a wireless signalling system has been developed as an alternative to current infrastructure, that ultimately will require a less arduous implementation labour, and simultaneously being low cost.
In this talk I will present the work conducted in a Reverberation Chamber as a test facility to evaluate the system’s resilience and performance in presence of potentially threatening sources of interference.
